About Us

The Leys Archives act as a repository to preserve and make available many of the official records of the school’s activities and administration from its foundation in 1875 to the present day. They contain a wide range of information, photographs and artefacts about alumni and Leysian life and are available to the school community as a historical record and educational resource. We welcome donations of relevant material such as correspondence, diaries, photographs and other papers to complement and extend the collection. If you would like to donate items relating to your or a relative’s time at the school please contact Mrs Alison Lainchbury (Librarian & Archivist).

Enquiries are welcome and whilst we make every effort to respond to these promptly, the demands of a wider role, unavailability during school holidays, or simply the time taken to carry out the research, may lead to some delay, and time spent on individual enquiries may have to be limited. Visits to the Archives are by arrangement with the Archivist; for privacy reasons certain items may have restricted access.
